Platform services

Purpose of this page​

Path /platform/services. Administrators only. Review the observed state of local supervised services, then start or stop after confirmation.

Tabs come from the supervision list. Current tabs are Platform, Driver, and DataTS. The page renders that list.

Start and stop​

Start and stop ask for confirmation. If a tuning is using the service, stop and restart ask a second time before force. The first confirm has not forced the action yet.

Click a name to open a read-only detail. The operator role does not have this page (role id operator). Opening the path directly returns them to Home.

What the restart modes mean​

  • Auto start: watch, and pull the service up again after a failure.
  • Manual only: watch, and allow people to act on this page.
  • Never auto: watch only. DataTS commonly uses this mode and has no HTTP probe.
