Purpose of this page

Workspace tab Algorithm. Maintain algorithm instances on this tuning: add, copy, delete, select for participation, edit hyperparameters, create from a template, and save as a template. The UI says “algorithm configuration”.

Choose an optimizer type

The optimizer-type control chooses EA or BO, identified as ea and bo. When you create an instance, algorithms are grouped by optimizer type. Choose the type and the algorithm (or a template) before you name the instance.

Save and lock

Cancel and Save sit on the right. While a run is active, fields cannot be edited. Card menus still open, but their items stay unavailable. If there is no usable instance, or Common / Algorithm still has unsaved edits, Monitor explains why start stays unavailable.
